Please join us as we come together to celebrate the extraordinary life of Sofia Ayers.
Six years was far too short, but Sofia filled them with more personality, courage, joy, determination and love than most could fit into a lifetime. She was fierce and resilient, bright and sassy, and she knew exactly what she liked, what she wanted and how she wanted to experience the world around her. She looked for and found joy in all situations, big or small.
This afternoon is about remembering all of it.
The moments that made us laugh. The stories we’ll never forget and always want to tell. The things Sofia loved. The countless people she touched. And the incredible spirit that will continue to live on through our family, friends and the communities that loved her so deeply.
Help us celebrate Sofia as she would, with smiles, positive energy, and the joy of having friends and family all be together.

Family Receiving & Gathering
Please arrive anytime during this window to spend time together, greet Sofia’s family and share memories of Sofia.
4:00 - 4:30 PM
Gathering for the Remembrance Program
We’ll begin transitioning toward the formal portion of the afternoon.
4:30 - 5:15 PM
Remembrance Program
We’ll come together for a special program honoring Sofia, including a blessing, personal remarks and reflections from family.
5:15 - 6:00 PM
Celebrating Sofia
Following the Remembrance Program, we invite everyone to stay, connect and continue celebrating Sofia together.
Children Are Welcome
Children are warmly welcome to attend. Throughout the afternoon, they will have the opportunity to participate in some of Sofia’s favorite activities as we celebrate her life in a way that reflects her joyful spirit.

The Celebration will take place at the Pat DiIanni Boathouse & Picnic Area within Garret Mountain Reservation.
Please allow a little extra time upon arrival to park and make your way to the gathering area.
